Nepal Electricity Authority
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) (Nepali: नेपाल बिधुत प्राधिकरण) was established in 1985 AD (2042 BS) under the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Act. 1984 AD, through the merger of the Department of Electricity of Ministry of Water Resources, Nepal Electricity Corporation (NEC), and related Development Boards. Nepal Bidhut Pradhikaran was established with the objective of affordable power by planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining all generation, transmission, and distribution facilities in Nepal's power system both interconnected and isolated. The major responsibilities of NEA are to recommend to the government of Nepal, long and short-term plans and policies in the power sector; to recommend, determine and realize tariff structure for electricity consumption with prior approval of the Government of Nepal and arrange for training and study so as to produce skilled manpower in the generation, transmission, distribution, and other sectors.

Candidates should have educational qualification, training, experience, character certificate, equivalence in case of candidates who have got certificate from foreign educational institution and certificate registered in Nepal Engineering Council for official level Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Survey / Computer Engineer.
