IOE Priority Form 2083 — What It Is & How to Fill It

After your IOE entrance result, the priority form is where you rank campuses and programs for counselling. Here's exactly how the process works, step by step, and what to have ready before it opens.

The exact 2083 opening date and deadline are set by IOE's official Priority Form Notice, released on entrance.ioe.edu.np after the result. Check Clamphook's notice board for the live dates the moment they're published.

How the priority form and counselling work

The mechanics are the same every cycle, even though exact dates change. Here's the process from result to confirmed seat.

  1. 1

Wait for the official Priority Form Notice

After the entrance result is published, IOE releases a separate Priority Form Notice on entrance.ioe.edu.np with the exact opening date, deadline, and submission link for that cycle. The form isn't open until this notice is out.

  2. 2

List your campuses and programs in order

You rank constituent campuses (Pulchowk, Thapathali, Purwanchal, Western Region, Paschimanchal) and affiliated colleges, and the programs at each (Civil, Computer, Electronics, Architecture, etc.), from most to least preferred. Your entrance rank and these priorities together determine every seat offer you receive.

  3. 3

    Submit before the deadline

Priorities are locked once the window closes. Late submissions are generally not accepted, so treat the deadline in the official notice as final -- don't wait until the last day.

  4. 4

    Track counselling rounds

Seats are offered round by round to the highest-ranked candidates whose priorities match an open seat. If you're offered a seat, you confirm it (usually with a payment) by that round's deadline. Decline or miss it, and it passes to the next-ranked candidate, opening a spot for later rounds.

  5. 5

Confirm your seat and complete verification

Once a seat is confirmed in your name, complete document verification and fee payment by the deadline given at that stage. Missing it can forfeit the seat back to the pool.

Prepare before the form opens

  • Your entrance rank and scorecard from the result
  • SEE/SLC certificate and +2 (NEB) transcript
  • Character certificate, citizenship or birth certificate
  • Migration certificate, if applicable
  • Passport-size photos and the confirmation/registration fee
  • A real, ranked list of campuses and programs you'd accept -- decide this before the deadline pressure hits

Frequently asked questions

The priority form is where you rank, in order, the campuses and programs (Civil, Computer, Electronics & Communication, Architecture, etc.) you'd accept a seat in. IOE runs counselling by matching your entrance rank against these priorities -- you never manually pick a seat, you only rank your preferences and the system offers you the best-matching one available.
